Thai Lessons

Tomorrow - Thursday will mark the last of my Thai language lessons for this trip. I will resume when I return. These lessons are all for speaking and understanding Thai. Learning to read and write Thai is a separate set of lessons and for good reason. There are 44 consonants in the Thai alphabet and 32 vowels. A couple of letters are no longer used, but that is still one heck of an alphabet to remember. And to make matters worse out of the 44 consonants there are 21 unique initial sounds (if the letter is at the first of the word) and 8 different final sounds (if the letter is at the end of a word).

I decided to start on my own. The flight back to KC is long and this will give me something to do, or put me to sleep.
